Eric Highland

Eric S. Highland is CEO and Co-Founder of HOSFU LC, a company founded in 2003 to glorify the name of Jesus Christ throughout the world. HOSFU's current focus is Christian-Movie.com, a resource hub for Christian filmmakers, aimed at promoting Christ through the Christian film industry.

In Spring 2009, Eric became the Executive Public Relations Consultant for Cloud Ten Pictures and Cloud Ten Entertainment.

The medium of film cannot be underestimated in its ability to reach countless individuals on a global scale, regardless of their language or cultural background. An encounter with a beautiful film is an encounter with a work of art, a means of catharsis, and a moment in which we can enter a story bigger than ourselves -- not our own, but somehow familiar. We should not surrender this medium to the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Eph. 6:12), but should use it to fulfill our God-given assignment to be ambassadors of Christ (2 Cor. 5:20).

Eric has had an extensive background in the performing arts. As a singer he has toured Asia, played the lead in an opera, cut three albums, and sang with Luciano Pavarotti. Within the world of theater, Eric has directed multiple stage productions and has years of experience in acting, including time spent as a key player at the Seattle Children's Theater.

Aside from having been a federal law enforcement officer in the United States Coast Guard for nearly two decades, Eric has also worked as a professional boxing promoter for HBO Boxing After Dark, Golden Boy, and Top Rank Inc.

Eric completed his Christian ministerial studies through Howard Payne University, with a focus on Practical Theology and Apologetics, and has been a youth pastor in three different cities over the past seven years. Eric is mentored by Pastor Wayne Barber of Hoffmantown Church in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he lives with his wife, Marie, and his four children.
